Now, coming to the things that you should consider constructing in your home, apart from the sofa-set, dining tables, beds etc which are obvious, I would recommend you to construct false ceiling in your home. Some people think that false ceilings will make their home look heavy. But, it is totally false. In fact, false ceiling will give your home the most modern and grand look. Always construct simple false ceilings with tray light to lighten your house. Tray lights give the false ceilings the most fascinating look. They look just awesome in the night.
Now, it comes to colour or wall paint in your apartment. Choose moderate (neither too light nor too dark) and bright colours like dark grey, dark ochre yellow etc to paint your home. Always remember to keep your home spacious. Homes with heavy furniture and less walking-space are difficult to live in. Some people build an over-decorated home and regret it after even less than a month.
Glassworks have become popular nowadays. Glass-wardrobes and furniture look quite modern and are far better than those wooden ones. They are even cheaper. You can consider making some part of wardrobes and shelves of your home of glass. But there is one disadvantage in glassworks – it is delicate and can even break. But you need not to worry. There is unbreakable glass available in the markets. Unbreakable glass are slightly expensive than the normal ones. But I would recommend using them. Do not use glass completely to make your wardrobe, for it will make your room look clumsy. Only make the doors or some parts of your wardrobes or shelves of glass. But you can make a show-piece container placed in the living room entirely of glass. The choice totally depends on you.
You can use tiles in some of the walls of your apartment which are easily noticeable by guests. Tiles make the look of your home grand and they do not look heavy at all. You can also use coloured wallpapers on some walls of your flat. Textures in the walls are also gaining popularity nowadays. But, I would not recommend them as they usually end up making your walls look clumsy.
